BTEC National Extended Certificate in Sport (Pearson) – 2 year course
This course allows pupils to build on prior knowledge from the level 2 course and apply recommendations to a client in how to make lifestyle changes. The course allows pupils to delve into biology and how the body systems work during exercise. The course also allows pupils to discover career paths which they may want to explore after leaving sixth form.

Successful BTEC Sport students will have a strong interest in sport and will be involved in sports in their leisure time. Students will need to be independent learners, who are highly motivated and good at working to deadlines. Strong understanding of biology is essential.
