We are delighted to share information about the GCSE summer’s results for students at Ebbsfleet Academy.
Figures indicate more excellent achievement across a range of subjects with a continuing improving trend in our results here at Ebbsfleet Academy. This is a huge achievement considering all the challenges our students have faced.
Ebbsfleet Academy is driven to ensure that all students go on to the further education or career pathways of their choice and at the time of going to press all students, completing their GCSE studies at the academy this summer have achieved the grades they need to take up their offers for their next steps.
This year’s Year 11 cohort has been a particularly resilient group. The teaching and pastoral teams have really enjoyed working with them and, despite the unprecedented challenges faced this year, there have again been some exceptional individual performances across the range of subjects which include:
- Fahridat, Fatou, Jael-Carys, Anastasia, Divine and Kacey: secured an impressive 34 grade 7-9 passes between them, across a range of subjects including maths, science, history, RE and languages;
- Tobi: 10 grades 9-5 including grade 9s in English and RE;
- Sam: Grade 9 in further maths, plus an impressive 8 grade 6-8s;
- George and Noah: secured an amazing eighteen passes with grades 8-5 including grades 8 in history and RE;
- Chen: 2 grade 9s in science and a grade 8 in maths despite only joining Ebbsfleet in Year 11; and
- Brandon: a fantastic set of results including a grade 8 for RE and grade 7s for maths and history.
Students have expressed their appreciation for the support that Ebbsfleet Academy has shown them. Tobi commented “It was the support and encouragement of the teachers which ensured that I never got complacent with my learning.’
Principal, Gurjit Kaur Shergill commented, “Our young people have experienced a significant amount of change and disruption over the past two years and these outcomes are yet again a demonstration of the firm belief embedded in the academy that there is no ceiling to what our young people can achieve. They represent the hard work, determination and fortitude demonstrated by our students on a daily basis. For every one of our students, whether they are taking up a place in our EA6 Sixth Form provision or pursuing a different pathway, we are pleased that these results represent an exceptional start and will ensure their success for the future. Congratulations to all our students and on behalf of the whole Ebbsfleet Academy family, we wish you the very best for the future, and we look forward to welcoming so many students back in September to begin their post-16 studies with us! We are immensely proud of the hard work and efforts of our entire staff, governors and of course the students and their parents in pulling together to achieve the best results possible, enabling our students to transition securely and with confidence into the next stage of their education journey and future career success.”
